How to improve the quality and life of punches in press die mold components?

Some buyers of mould components usually complain about the bad quality and short life of punches. Many customers asked us for some help and wanted to find solutions. How to improve the quality and life of punches? PMP will analyze it for you in the following three aspects:

Improve the part sizes’ stability and suitability: when design the mould structure, we should try to make the whole structure compact and easy to operate. Meanwhile, we should also ensure the punches have enough strength and rigidity.

Improve the punch surface’s finish degree and usage rate of material: under suitable mould structure, we should make the punch’s connector into tapered R angle to avoid concentrated strike.

For the dies, mold cores and other core inserts, we can adopt core pins combination to protect the punches.

For cold-punching mould, we should equip it with a device, which can stop the parts or wasted material from blocking
